I've joined the fight against Parkinson's

Hi. My name's Ben and I currently work as a nurse in Victoria, Australia. My grandparents back home were affected by Parkinson's and much of my work includes those with Parkinson's. I'd like to help fundraise to help support the Parkinson's community in the memory of my grandparents Brady and Bennie Brown.

For every dollar raised, I pledge to walk 1 kilometre (or 0.6 miles, if that's your style).

I'm inspired by the work of Fight Parkinson's, so I wanted to join the fight and fundraise to support the Parkinson's community.

Hello everyone!

Simply fantastic that I've been able to fundraise $187 so far, so thank you so much for your support, whether you have shared my link or donated. It's much appreciated and it's so great that I am able to help support those affected by Parkinson's!

I've pledged to move my body 1 km for each $1 earned. Right now, that's the distance by road if I walked to Bendigo from Geelong or from my hometown to Houston, Texas. My Google skills tell me that it would take up to 39 hours. With my nurse walking speed, probably less. Obviously, I won't be able to do this in one go.

FYI: I am also packing and moving over the next month. On top of that, I'll be away from home for two weeks of that. So, the exercising will have to start after I get resettled. :) I won't forget though.

Anyway, I hope to be able to fundraise more over the next few months... but HOPEFULLY make a bit of a dent in my pledge! :) And thank you so very much for helping me honour my grandparents in this way--it means so much!
