I've joined the fight against Parkinson's
At the end of this month, I will be undertaking 7 half marathons in 7 days to raise money for Fight Parkinson’s. Starting on Sunday, 25th of May and finishing the challenge on Saturday, 31st of May.
For the past two years, myself & Aleks have been living in Melbourne, and during that time we have had the privilege of becoming close friends with two of the kindest people I’ve ever met - Isa & Alan, our neighbours. Isa lives with Parkinson’s, and I’ve seen firsthand the strength, resilience and positivity that she brings to every day. Alan, their family and all of their friends form an incredible circle of support for not only Isa, but around the wider Parkinson’s community, Advocating and raising awareness for Fight Parkinson’s, an organisation doing truly amazing work.
As we prepare to leave Australia and return home to Ireland, I wanted to do something special for Isa & Alan, something that would challenge myself and help raise awareness for an amazing cause.
So I will be running 7 half marathons in 7 days entirely dedicated to Isa and everyone living with Parkinson’s.
